You can create a virtual switch called xxxx security front door security back door security etc.
You would then be able to tell alexa to turn on the virtual switch.
You can also use the free august app to assign keyless entry and keep track of who comes and goes.
Select smart home from the menu.
Once i do that will see if i can get any virtual switches recognized by alexa so i can use them as a trigger.
It won t be lock unlock but on off.

Thanks for the info.
You could create a virtual switch in alexa helper and tie that switch to a rule in rule machine to control the lock.
Just log into the ide and go under my devices add device then select the new virtual device type and fill in the required fields.
I am currently doing this with sonos.
You can even tell it which echo you want to speak.
Went into the alexa app and created a routine that says front door open whenever the door sensor is activated.
To start fire up the alexa app and then tap the menu button in the top left corner of the screen.

The latest 4th generation lock also includes wi fi and bluetooth built right in so you no longer need a separate hub.
Fairly new to ha but loving it so far.
Still need to setup the alexa integration.
You would use alexa helper to run the routine when you turn on that virtual switch.
